DC won by 6 Wickets
KL Rahul, hailing from Bengaluru, scored an incredible unblemished 93 that propelled Delhi Capitals (DC) to a comfortable victory as they chased down a target of 164, inflicting Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) with their second home loss of the season. This result earns DC their fourth consecutive victory and keeps them unbeaten in the 2025 IPL season.
After RCB was sent in to bat, they made a flying start with Phil Salt (37 off 17) and Virat Kohli (22 off 14) contributing a quick 61 runs in the powerplay (first four overs). However, a middle-order collapse followed as RCB lost seven wickets for only 74 runs in the middle 15 overs. Only Tim David (37 off 20)* showed some fight at the end, assisting RCB to a total of 163/7 at the end of 20 overs.
Delhi Capitals lost their way as they too suffered a collapse, losing four wickets in the first nine overs and only managing to get to 67 by the end of the 11th over. But, it was then that KL Rahul — who had been quiet in the early stages — changed from first to fourth gear without breaking a sweat. Along with *Tristan Stubbs (38 off 24)**, he produced an astonishing unbroken partnership of 111 runs for the fifth wicket in just 6.5 overs.
Rahul had a wonderful innings where he displayed stylish open-play and power-hitting, bringing up 93 from 53 balls*, including 7 fours and 6 sixes. The duo closed it out with 13 balls to spare.
